Using genograms

A useful tool for understanding complex situations in families is the genogram. This is a kind of annotated family tree. You will learn how to work with genograms.

Apart from being a practical tool to sort out a lot of information — in cases where that is needed — a genogram can also provide direct information to the facilitator about which parts of the family are burdened and who was involved in those burdens, even when the client does not know about that. In the Intermediate Training you will learn how to obtain such information from the genogram.
