The counseling process often begins with recognizing in what ways we are stuck. Often our process begins to move again if we get clarity about our situation. Then we can make inner steps like: making a decision, or acknowledging something that we could not see before, embracing something in ourselves that we did not want to be there, admitting something that we tried to ignore, or setting a boundary.
Making such inner steps frees our energy that was stuck and makes us feel better. With that new energy we can begin to take outer steps, take some action. Then our energy gets nourished by the results from those actions and a positive spiral begins.
Working through painful feelings, getting insights about your situation, and bringing movement through freeing energy, together may result in positive changes in your well-being.
It may help you to find alternatives, expand your range of choices and overcome obstacles that interfere with your personal development. The clarification and resolution of personal problems often brings back energy and clarity regarding direction in life, and can stabilize and enhance relationships, or give you the strength to make necessary changes.
